Mount #Nyiragongo in eastern Democratic Republic of #Congo, one of the world's most active volcanoes, erupted on Saturday, sending panicked residents of the nearby city of #Goma fleeing, although a volcanologist said the city did not appear to be in danger https://t.co/kJFUPO0dlr pic.twitter.com/16hHHt58FO

Activité volcanique aux alentours de Goma: la MONUSCO fait des vols de reconnaissance.
La lave ne semble pas se diriger vers la ville de Goma. Nous restons en alerte. pic.twitter.com/JQmz7v16Ne

There still is little clarity. Tendency towards eastern flanks of #Nyiragongo. Lava first streamed towards Kibumba/Kibati area. That’s very close to #Goma. This looks like RN2 north of Goma, lava crossing towards the east, and Rwanda. pic.twitter.com/0VEEQnSmvu
